Matthew’s life is defined by faith, community, family, and friends. His other passions include music, theatre, fine dining, great American films, and great American cars! He resides in Uniontown, where he, his wife Rebecca and their sons W. Pierce and Preston hope to make their home for years to come.
Heidi Ruby Miller uses research for her stories as an excuse to roam the globe. With degrees in Anthropology, Geography, Foreign Languages, and Writing, she knew early that penning fast-paced, exotic adventures would be her life. She’s put her experiences and studies to paper in her far-future AMBASADORA series, including her newest novel GREENSHIFT, and into ATOMIC ZION, the beginning of her new supernatural spy series. In between trips, Heidi teaches creative writing at Seton Hill University, where she graduated from their renowned Writing Popular Fiction Graduate Program the same month she appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. AMBASADORA was her thesis novel there, and the multi-award winning writing guide MANY GENRES, ONE CRAFT, which she co-edited with Michael A. Arnzen, is based on the Seton Hill program and was named #5 in The Writer magazine’s Ten Most Terrific Writing Books of 2011. She has had various fiction and non-fiction publications, as well as various jobs, including contract archaeologist, foreign currency exchanger at Walt Disney World, foreign language teacher, and educational marketing director for a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Currently she is an editor at Dog Star Books and sometimes co-hosts author interviews on the GoingLIVE talk show on FCTV. Heidi is a member of The Authors Guild, International Thriller Writers, Pennwriters, and Science Fiction Poetry Association. She is represented by Frank Weimann, Senior Vice President and Director of Operations for Folio Literary Management. She’s fond of high-heeled shoes, action movies, Chanel and Tiffany’s, and tea of any sort. You can read about her books, travels, and author interviews at http://heidirubymiller.blogspot.com and tweet her @heidirubymiller. She lives near Pittsburgh with her traveling companion and writer husband, Jason Jack Miller. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jason Jack Miller knows it’s silly to hold onto the Bohemian ideals of literature, music, and love above all else. But he doesn’t care. His own adventures paddling wild mountain rivers and playing Nirvana covers for less-than-enthusiastic crowds inspired his Murder Ballads and Whiskey series, published by Raw Dog Screaming Press. The first three books are currently available: The Devil and Preston Black, Hellbender, and the Revelations of Preston Black. The next installment, All Saints, is due out this year. Hellbender was Jason’s thesis novel for Seton Hill University’s Writing Popular Fiction Graduate Program, where he is now adjunct faculty. The novel won the Arthur J. Rooney Award for Fiction and is a finalist for the Appalachian Writers Association Book of the Year Award. His career got its start when he co-authored an outdoor travel guide with his wife in 2006. Since then his work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, literary journals, online, as part of a travel guide app for mobile phones, and in the award-winning writing guide Many Genres, One Craft. When Jason isn’t writing he’s on his mountain bike or looking for his next favorite guitar. He is a member of The Authors Guild, Pennwriters, and International Thriller Writers. He lives just outside of Pittsburgh with his wife, Heidi, and a cat. His blog is http://jasonjackmiller.blogspot.com. Tweet him @jasonjackmiller.
Dave Slusarick manages the day-to-day operations of Fayette Community Television (Fayette TV) and is the creator and executive producer of “Mission Field: Fayette County,” a documentary series profiling spiritual and community leaders of the region. While Dave has never tried his hand at penning a book, he’s always crafting song lyrics (some silly, some somber) with his long-distance songwriting partner, Dave “Downtown” Brown. He is also a weekly columnist for the Herald Standard and a contributing writer and photographer for the Catholic Accent newspaper, published in Greensburg. Dave loves reading everything from Steinbeck novels to self-help books to the backs of cereal boxes. Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News/Journalism, as well as a Master’s degree, both from West Virginia University.
