Identify and report on potential community partners.
Employ appropriate telephone manner and community relations techniques in securing community involvement.
Apply communication skills to engage the public via print and electronic marketing materials, including social media.
Show proficiency in using computer technology and television broadcast equipment.
Design professional layouts for electronic and print marketing materials.
Demonstrate sensitivity to event stakeholders’ needs and concerns before and during the event.
Have reliable means of transportation.
Currently enrolled in or considering enrolling in the collegiate study of broadcast, marketing or a related field.
Possess basic soft skills including: business telephone manor, email etiquette and a proficiency in MS Office products.
Intern Job Description
An effective PAlitFest Intern would work under the supervision of the Event Team, primarily the member that is responsible for the duties corresponding with the intern’s focus area. Some aspects of the intern’s responsibilities could include: identifying community organizations that should be involved and meeting with organization representatives; promoting the event via email marketing and social media; assisting with the production of multimedia projects related to the event; documenting the event for television broadcast purposes; serving as a liaison between the Event Team and authors/vendors; and working with the Coordinated 360 staff on event day(s) to ensure high standards of plan implementation.
No financial compensation will be offered for the duties performed by interns. There is no promise of employment following said internship. Coordinated 360 is willing to work with educational institutions to verify internship as a means of course credit.
